Healthcare Consulting Services, LLC (HCS), can assist your Hospital in identifying charity care cases up-front during the pre-admission interview, during the admitting process or while the patient is in-house.

HCS has staff who specialize in charity care guidelines and processes. Our charity care services include a review of your current financial policy and charity care policies and procedures, assessment of the charity application and approval process through observation and interviews with relevant staff and a review of information documented on the charity care log. Our goal is to provide you with recommendations for improving identification of charity cases, the application and approval processes and documentation on the charity log. We can also provide you with a sample charity care policy upon request.

Often our findings indicate the need for other services we provide such as patient account management, which focuses on admitting, billing and collections processes.
