HCS, LLC CHAMPUS Cost Reporting

Healthcare Consulting Services, LLC (HCS), can assist your Hospital compile its annual CHAMPUS Capital and Education Pass Through Cost Report. This cost report allows hospitals to receive additional reimbursement above the DRG payments for the care of inpatient CHAMPUS patients. We have assisted over 700 hospitals capture over $7,000,000 in additional reimbursement.

At HCS, we have found that many hospitals have not filed their reports because they are not aware of them. The CHAMPUS intermediary will not inform the hospitals that they have not filed their annual report because it is not required unless the hospitals desire the additional reimbursement. We understand that hospitals should receive all the appropriate reimbursement to which they are entitled.

Our service includes the following to assist a hospital file outstanding cost reports and obtain the necessary instructions to file future cost reports:

We will prepare all the outstanding CHAMPUS cost reports.

We will gather all the necessary data to complete these reports.

The hospital will need to sign the completed cost reports and send them to the intermediary.

We will provide the hospital with detail instructions, forms and intermediary contacts to allow hospital personnel to complete subsequent cost reports.
